What You’ll Do:
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer at IC Markets, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our web-based trading platforms. Your expertise in Selenium and other web automation tools will be pivotal in developing and scaling our automated testing strategies. You will lead efforts to automate complex web test scenarios, optimize testing processes, and integrate automation into our cloud infrastructure and diverse websites.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Web Automation Framework Development:
- Architect, design, and maintain advanced web automation frameworks using Selenium, tailored for high-transaction, complex trading platforms.
- Implement reliable and maintainable test scripts in languages such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript, with a focus on web-based applications.
- Ensure seamless integration of automated tests within our CI/CD pipelines, enhancing the speed and accuracy of our web application releases.
2. Cloud-Based Test Environment Management:
- Work closely with DevOps and infrastructure teams to integrate web test automation within our AWS-based deployment pipelines.
3. Comprehensive Web Testing Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and execute detailed test plans focusing on functional, regression, performance, and security testing for web platforms.
- Conduct thorough cross-browser testing to ensure consistent user experiences across various devices and browsers.
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman and RestAssured, integrating these tests with web automation suites to ensure comprehensive coverage.
4. Leadership and Continuous Improvement:
- Lead initiatives to enhance web test automation processes, adopting the latest tools and methodologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay current with emerging trends in web automation, cloud computing, and software development, proposing innovative solutions to complex web testing challenges.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Technical Expertise:
- Extensive experience in developing and maintaining Selenium-based web automation frameworks, with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and integrating automated web tests into cloud-based deployment pipelines.
- Solid background in API testing and performance testing with tools like Postman, RestAssured, JMeter, SOAP or Gatling.
2. Professional Experience:
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer, with significant exposure to web-based testing in cloud environments.
- Demonstrated experience in financial services or trading systems is optional.
- Proven ability to design and execute web test automation strategies in an Agile/Scrum environment, adapting to rapid development cycles.
3. Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex web issues across multiple layers of technology.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, distributed team environment.
