The Mayfair Hotel in Paphos is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Chief Engineer to support the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of all hotel facilities. This role works closely with the Chief Engineer to ensure high technical standards and smooth day-to-day functionality across the property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing the engineering & maintenance department.
- Supervise daily operations, maintenance tasks, and technical staff performance.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance programmes for all hotel equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Support ongoing renovation and development projects, ensuring compliance with hotel standards.
- Maintain accurate technical records, safety logs, and maintenance documentation.
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and fire-safety regulations.
- Provide training, guidance, and leadership to engineering staff.
- Act as the department lead in the absence of the Chief Engineer.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in engineering within a hotel or large facility environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Leadership experience with the ability to supervise and motivate staff.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Technical certifications or engineering qualifications are an advantage.
