What You’ll Do:
The Head of Dealing is a Senior Management Function within a CySEC-regulated Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF), responsible for the oversight, control, and integrity of all dealing and trading operations of the Company. The role is critical in ensuring compliance with CySEC directives, MiFID II requirements, and the Company’s internal governance framework.
What We’re Looking For:
Trading Desk Oversight & Trade Support
- Oversight of the trading operation aspects of the business
- Address internal/external trade support queries and complex dealing cases
- Escalate complex cases to management when required
- Identify and solve client abusive trading strategies and fraudulent activities
Policies, Procedures & Documentation
- Assist in the creation and implementation of internal operational procedures
- Support the creation/maintenance of Account Terms, Execution Policy, Conflicts of Interest, Risk Disclosures and other required policies and documents
- Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures
Client & Market Communication
- Assist VIP clients with market news, trends, and ongoing market conditions
- Update colleagues across departments on market conditions, client queries, and products
Leadership, KPI & People Management
- Supervisor duties and day-to-day management of the Trading Desk
- Set up and implement the Trading Desk KPI policy and framework
- Train staff across the business
- Complete probation and annual reviews
- Recruitment of new employees and ensuring optimal staffing levels
Reporting, Governance & Stakeholder Management
- Generate reports for Management, Brokerage, Trading Desk and Regulatory Authority
- Report Trading Desk performance to Directors, the Board and the Risk Committee
- Create and send the department’s weekly report to management
- Create and deliver the department’s monthly report
- Support other areas of the business as required, including requests from the Directors
Process Improvement & Automation
- Work with Developers and IT to automate processes and improve efficiency
Qualifications:
- Strong experience leading a dealing/trading function in a regulated environment
- Proven ability to manage incidents, abuse monitoring, escalation and decision-making under pressure
- Excellent reporting, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Strong understanding of order execution principles, dealing operations, and trading controls
- Leadership capability: coaching, performance management, hiring, and team structuring
- Comfortable working with IT/Developers to improve systems and automate workflows
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in dealing/trading operations (preferably within a CySEC-regulated CIF)
- CySEC Advanced Certificate (or ability to obtain immediately, if your hiring policy allows)
- Degree in Finance/Economics/Math/Business or equivalent experience
Working Schedule: On-site Monday to Friday – 09:00 to 17:00
