On behalf of our client, a well-established and reputable medical center in Limassol, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting and Finance Officer to join their team. Role Overview
The Accounting and Finance Officer will support the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, ensuring the accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of financial transactions. The role plays a key part in maintaining strong internal controls, supporting efficient billing processes, and ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance & Administration Manager and collaborate with administrative, clinical, and support teams when needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Record daily financial transactions in the accounting and ERP systems
• Prepare and submit relevant VAT returns
• Maintain ledgers, journals, and supporting financial documentation accurately and consistently
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in line with internal procedures
• Arrange payments and monitor financial transactions
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and petty cash balances
• Prepare and process payroll entries and employee payments, including all relevant submissions to authorities
• Support the billing team with payment verification and invoice accuracy
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing procedures
• Prepare financial summaries and reports for review by the Finance & Administration Manager
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable financial standards
• Assist with procurement-related documentation and vendor account management
• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing required reports and files
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in both digital and physical format
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Finance & Administration Manager or Director-General
Requirements
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5 to 7 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Previous experience in the healthcare sector will be considered an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and high level of numerical accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with Accounting or ERP systems is required
• Knowledge of SAP and HIS systems will be considered an advantage
• Fluency in both English and Greek is required
