On behalf of our client, a well-established and reputable accounting and professional services firm based in Paphos, we are seeking an experienced Accountant to join their growing Accounting Department. The company offers a professional and structured working environment, providing high-quality accounting, bookkeeping, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of local and international clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a portfolio of bookkeeping clients and maintain accurate accounting records
• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting tasks
• Prepare banks, debtors, and creditors reconciliations
• Prepare and submit VAT and VIES returns within deadlines
• Monitor and follow up on all relevant accounting deadlines and obligations
• Prepare Trial Balances and coordinate with the Audit Department for audit purposes
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures
• Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation and records
Requirements
• 4-5 years of experience within an Accounting or Audit firm
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with VAT and VIES submissions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English
• Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Word
• Knowledge of Intelisoft Accounting Software will be considered an advantage
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Professional attitude with a strong desire to exceed expectations
