For decades, our client has been a reliable collaborator in the food manufacturing sector, delivering advanced engineering solutions and customized production systems. On behalf of our client we are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be part of the Technical Department, working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize mechanical solutions for dairy processing and food manufacturing equipment. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in engineering design, product development, and project execution while contributing to innovation and continuous improvement. This position provides a pathway for professional growth within the Technical Department.

Responsibilities
• Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for dairy processing and food manufacturing equipment.
• Develop 3D CAD models and 2D drawings with full parametric design methodology.
• Support prototype builds, functional testing, and validation of new designs.
• Perform mechanical engineering calculations (structural, thermal, flow, etc.) to support design decisions.
• Generate and maintain BoMs, technical documentation, and revision-controlled drawings in accordance with company standards.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (electrical, automation, production, and installations) as well as suppliers and contractors.
• Ensure projects meet timeline, cost, and quality objectives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting design optimizations and efficiency gains
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK) as a Professional Engineer
• Proficiency in parametric 3D CAD and 2D drafting software.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems and design principles.
• Strong calculation skills (stress analysis, tolerances, thermal and flow fundamentals).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical ability with attention to detail.
• Fluent in both Greek and English (written and verbal).
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Nice to have:
• 1-4 years of engineering experience (internships, thesis projects, or industrial placements will be considered).
