NALU Hotel in Latsi is seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to provide exceptional service and ensure a smooth experience for guests during their stay.

Job Summary:

The Receptionist is responsible for managing front desk operations, assisting with arrivals and departures, handling guest inquiries, and maintaining a welcoming environment. This role supports the Head Receptionist and ensures high standards of guest service and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Apply arrivals and departures procedures, ensuring guests are checked in and out efficiently.
Verify daily room allocations and report any pending arrivals or departures to the Head Receptionist.
Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, facilities, events, and local transport options to assist guests effectively.
Conduct shift handovers, receiving updates from the previous shift and briefing the next.
Check and manage the cash float accurately.
Control reception area lighting and music to create a welcoming environment.
Report pending repairs or damages to the Head Receptionist and escalate unresolved issues to Maintenance.
Stay informed about exchange rates, weather forecasts, and availability of brochures and guest information.
Monitor room availability to sell or upgrade rooms, maximizing average room rates.
Issue and verify all departure invoices before presenting them to guests.
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and professional at all times.
Maintain both incident and daily logbooks.
Follow hotel Health & Safety rules and GDPR requirements.
Adhere to accident reporting procedures for guests and staff.
Perform any other tasks assigned by management related to Front Office operations.

Skills & Qualifications:

Pleasant and professional personality.
Excellent command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
Diploma from a recognized Hotel School or relevant experience in a similar role.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests effectively.
Knowledge of front office procedures and hotel operations.
Commitment to Health & Safety and GDPR compliance.
