Manpower Cyprus, on behalf of our client, a Group of Companies seeking to recruit a Junior Bookkeeper to join their team at the Head Offices in Nicosia.
The successful candidate will support the accounting and finance department by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with customer and operational support activities. Key Responsibilities
• Record and maintain all incoming and outgoing financial transactions, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments
• Update and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, and expenses
• Process payments to vendors and suppliers and monitor outstanding balances
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Maintain petty cash records and monitor related expenses
• Assist with VAT submissions and statutory reporting requirements
• Support the preparation of tax and regulatory filings, including VIES submissions where applicable
• Handle and process customer rate requests efficiently and accurately
• Communicate with international agents regarding rates and quotations
• Prepare and issue quotations to customers in a timely and professional manner
• Follow up with customers regarding quotations and provide ongoing support to ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• LCCI Higher or an equivalent qualification will be considered an advantage
• Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting will be considered an advantage
• Fluency in Greek and English
• Knowledge of accounting software will be considered an advantage
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
