About the Role
A growing accounting team in Paphos is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage core accounting operations, reconciliations and statutory submissions. This role is ideal for a professional with at least 2 years of relevant experience who can work independently and contribute to a team oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and update accounting records in accordance with international accounting standards and local regulations
• Prepare and reconcile bank accounts, cash, creditors and debtors
• Manage and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Issue and record invoices, receipts and process payments
• Prepare VAT returns, VIES and other statutory submissions
• Communicate with creditors and request monthly statements
• Maintain accurate accounting filing and documentation
• Provide support to the accounting team when needed
Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting
• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong attention to detail and results oriented mindset
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and team based environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Positive, mature and professional attitude
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Hands on experience in accounting processes and reconciliations
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism
• Responsible, organized and team oriented with strong character
Working Hours
• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 to 13:00 & 13:00 to 17:30
• Friday: 08:00 to 14:00
