About the Role
A strong opportunity for an experienced Tax Associate with at least 3 years of hands on experience in Cyprus tax compliance. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients, prepare all corporate and personal tax filings, support VAT processes and ensure full compliance with Cyprus tax legislation. You will collaborate closely with the accounting and audit teams and act as a key point of contact for clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare corporate income tax returns (TD4) for Cyprus companies
• Prepare personal income tax returns (TD1) for employees, self employed individuals and high net worth clients
• Prepare provisional tax assessments, capital gains tax forms and defence contribution (SDC) computations
• Manage VAT return preparation, VAT registrations and deregistrations, and liaise with the Cyprus Tax Department
• Review and verify client financial information and supporting documentation
• Provide guidance to clients on tax deadlines, compliance requirements and general tax matters
• Maintain well organised records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with accounting and audit teams to gather data needed for tax filings
• Prepare payroll and ensure accurate submission of employer contributions
• Register clients on SISnet, Ergani and TFA and handle all related tax and social insurance formalities
• Prepare and submit all necessary forms for registering companies and individuals with Tax, VAT and Social Insurance Departments
• Handle employee recruitments and terminations through the Ergani system
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of experience in tax compliance or accounting roles
• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Excellent knowledge of Cyprus tax legislation and statutory requirements
• Excellent communication skills in Greek and English
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• High level of accuracy, analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Ability to manage deadlines, prioritise tasks and work in a fast paced environment
• Team oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Positive, professional and mature attitude
