As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will monitor the preparation of the entire payroll cycle for a diverse portfolio of clients — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and delivery on time. Your knowledge and expertise will be valued as a key part of our team.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Processing of the monthly payroll including calculations of salaries, overtime, deductions, etc.
- Work closely with the HR department in respect of monthly payroll changes (newcomers, leavers, salary changes, etc.)
- On-going updating of the payroll software including all the information received from the HR department.
- On-time payment of Net Salaries, Social Insurance contributions, GESY and PAYE
- Preparing monthly, annual and any ad hoc payroll reports.
- Resolve payroll queries and manage complex payroll issues.
- Providing monthly pay slips and IR63 to employees.
- Review and submission of Employer Income Tax Return form (IR7)
- Monitoring PAYE deductions including cases of 20%/50% reduced rates
- Coordination and monitoring of the funding of the payroll bank accounts based on estimated payroll costs.
The ideal candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Business Administration or similar
- 5+ years of experience in a payroll position is a must.
- Advanced knowledge of Cyprus labour legislation and tax regulations is essential.
- Knowledge of Insoft payroll software will be considered as advantage.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, multi-tasking, and detail-oriented skills.
- Team player, able to work under pressure, problem-solving.
- Excellent command of the English and Greek language, both written and oral.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
