Role Overview
The Director of Marketing Operations & Marketing Technology reports directly to the Board of Directors and collaborates closely with the Director of Business Development, the Director of Corporate Affairs & Communication and the General Managers of the Hotels.
This is a high impact leadership role responsible for building, managing and optimising the marketing operating infrastructure across the luxury portfolio. The position ensures that leadership strategy is translated into structured, measurable and scalable execution across all properties.
The role carries full accountability for marketing operations, marketing technology governance, vendor performance and team development, supporting portfolio growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Ownership & Evolution
• Act as custodian of the Group’s brand portfolio, ensuring consistency and premium positioning
• Lead the evolution of brand narrative aligned with ownership vision and growth strategy
• Safeguard brand guidelines, tone of voice and visual identity across all touchpoints
• Ensure cohesive storytelling while maintaining property level distinction
Marketing Operations
• Design and implement a unified marketing operating model across all properties
• Translate strategic priorities into structured campaign plans with clear accountability
• Establish governance frameworks, approval workflows and quality control processes
• Develop performance dashboards and KPI frameworks with Board level reporting
• Standardise processes, templates and documentation portfolio wide
Marketing Technology & Data
• Own and optimise the marketing technology ecosystem including CRM, automation, analytics, AI tools, DAM and project platforms
• Ensure full integration between marketing systems and hospitality platforms such as PMS and booking engines
• Lead AI adoption across content creation, workflow automation and analytics
• Ensure reporting integrity and data driven decision making
• Evaluate and implement new technologies aligned with growth strategy
Vendor & Budget Management
• Oversee and optimise annual marketing vendor spend across agencies and partners
• Establish performance frameworks with measurable KPIs
• Lead agency briefings, quarterly reviews and contract negotiations
• Coordinate multi agency execution to ensure ROI and brand consistency
• Manage RFP processes and vendor selection
Team Leadership & Development
• Lead and develop the central marketing team
• Implement structured development plans with clear progression milestones
• Provide hands on coaching and performance management
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation and AI capability
Stakeholder Engagement
• Present structured, data backed reporting at Board level
• Align with General Managers on property specific execution
• Translate commercial objectives into measurable marketing plans
• Ensure transparent communication across ownership and operational teams
Requirements
• 10 to 12 years of experience in Marketing Operations, Marketing Technology or similar leadership role
• Experience within luxury hospitality or multi property environments is strongly preferred
• Proven track record managing complex agency ecosystems and substantial budgets
• Strong expertise in CRM, automation platforms, analytics and AI tools
• Experience integrating marketing systems with hospitality platforms such as Opera Cloud or similar is an advantage
• Demonstrated ability to build structure, optimise processes and scale operations
• Strong leadership capability with focus on talent development
• Executive level communication and stakeholder management skills
