Thanos Hotels & Resorts is currently seeking to recruit a HeadReceptionist for the Anassa Hotel.
Job Summary
The Head Receptionist is responsible for leading and managing all front desk operations to ensure an exceptional luxury guest experience. This role oversees reception staff, ensures seamless check-in and check-out procedures, handles VIP guests, and maintains the highest standards of hospitality in line with 5-star service expectations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Supervises and coordinates the daily operations of the Reception to ensure smooth and efficient service at all times
• Ensures all check-in and check-out procedures are carried out professionally and in accordance with existing Front Office policies and 5-star standards
• Monitors room allocations, VIP arrivals, special requests, group arrivals and departures
• Handles and resolves guest complaints and escalated issues promptly, diplomatically and professionally
• Provides personalized guest service and ensures an exceptional luxury experience at all times
• Ensures all telephone calls are answered promptly, screened and directed correctly according to hotel standards
• Ensures messages, mail and deliveries are handled accurately and distributed promptly
• Coordinates closely with Housekeeping regarding room status updates and readiness
• Liaises with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
• Informs the Porter team of guest arrivals, departures and luggage handling requirements
• Ensures wake-up calls, taxi transfers and other guest services are arranged accurately and efficiently
• Provides guests with accurate information regarding hotel services, restaurants, facilities and local attractions
• Supervises, trains and supports Reception staff to ensure adherence to hotel standards and procedures
• Ensures the Reception area is maintained clean, organized and presentable at all times
• Maintains full knowledge and compliance with hotel policies, procedures, Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety regulations
• Ensures all duties are performed honestly and ethically in accordance with hotel rules and local laws
• Maintains confidentiality of guest information and hotel data
• Assumes full responsibility of Reception operations in the absence of the Front Office Manager
• Performs any other relevant duties assigned by the Front Office Manager or Hotel Management
Requirements
• Previous experience as a Head Receptionist at a 5* Hotel
• Excellent knowledge of English. Knowledge of Greek or any other language will be considered as an advantage
• Pleasant, honest and friendly personality
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment and cope under pressure
• Computer Literate
• Problem-solving ability, to resolve issues as they arise
• Excellent interpersonal skills in handling guest complaints
