Network Engineer – Larnaca (hybrid)
On behalf of our client, a well-established and leading Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) company in Cyprus, we are looking to hire an experienced Network Engineer for their Larnaca-based office (hybrid working model).

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand requirements and design end-to-end network, security, and collaboration solutions, primarily using Cisco technologies.
- Architect and implement complex network infrastructures covering routing, switching, and security layers.
- Develop and maintain collaboration systems involving voice, video, conferencing, and content-sharing platforms.
- Establish and apply network security policies to safeguard sensitive data.
- Prepare and update technical documentation and diagrams to support troubleshooting and ensure smooth transitions to support teams or clients.
- Install, configure, and maintain networking and security equipment in line with best practices and project timelines.
- Monitor system performance, apply updates and patches, and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Conduct security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement measures to minimize risks.
- Provide 2nd/3rd level support for complex networking, security, and collaboration incidents.
- Deliver technical workshops, presentations, and pre-sales support including responses to RFIs/RFPs.
- Act as an internal information security lead, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Produce reports on system performance, risks, and capacity for management decision-making.
- Perform additional duties as required by management.
Criteria:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Cisco certification/knowledge or anything related
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, STP, Multicast, QoS, VPC, and VDC.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in the design, deployment, and management of large-scale Cisco-based network environments.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Cisco platforms (Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, ASR).
- Experience designing and troubleshooting Cisco security solutions (ASA, Firepower, ISE, DUO, Umbrella); familiarity with other vendors (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Juniper) is a plus.
- Exposure to Cisco Unified Communications (CUCM, Unity, Expressway, Webex, etc.); knowledge of alternative platforms (Microsoft Teams, 3CX, Avaya, Asterisk) is advantageous.
- Understanding of Cisco wireless solutions and Meraki platforms.
- Experience with load balancing, application delivery, and WAF solutions, ideally Kemp.
- Familiarity with monitoring and automation tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, Netbox, Graylog, or scripting for configuration management.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel within Cyprus and occasionally abroad.
- Strong problem-solving ability, adaptability, and proactive mindset.
