Your Role
As a Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role within the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in the daily operation and overall performance of the department. You will be responsible for ensuring consistency, quality, hygiene, and smooth service across all kitchen sections.In the absence of the Head Chef, you will act as the person in charge of the kitchen, supervising the team, coordinating food preparation and service, and ensuring that all standards are maintained at the highest level.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Head Chef in the daily management and smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Act as the main person in charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Supervise food preparation, cooking, and presentation across all kitchen sections.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to the hotel’s standards of quality, consistency, and wellness philosophy.
- Coordinate the kitchen team during service to ensure timely, efficient, and smooth operations.
- Monitor hygiene, health, and safety standards, ensuring full compliance within the kitchen.
- Assist with menu development, seasonal dishes, and creative culinary ideas.
- Support stock control, ordering, inventory, and proper use of ingredients to reduce waste.
- Train, guide, and mentor junior kitchen team members, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Assist in planning daily tasks, staff allocation, and kitchen priorities according to operational needs.
- Work hands-on during service and support any kitchen section whenever required.
