Work Channel Professional Recruitment is working closely with a client and is seeking to recruit an Accountant Limassol.
Our client is a well-established real estate investment and development company with operations across Greece and Cyprus. The company focuses on hospitality and residential projects, managing a diverse portfolio of developments in the region and abroad. On be half of our client we are seeking an accountant to join their finance team.

Responsibilities
- Perform general accounting and bookkeeping duties as required by the parent company
- Record transactions / post journal entries into the GL
- Assist in maintaining accurate accounting records for the company
- Prepare monthly trial balances and assist Finance Manager in preparing management accounts
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable including verifying invoices and ensuring timely payments
- Prepare weekly payment run and ensure suppliers are paid on time and according to budget
- Monitoring cash and preparing weekly cash balances report
- Verify the accuracy and appropriateness of invoices received, ensuring they are issued to the correct entity within the group
- Keep the company’s petty cash, perform timely cash count and cash reconciliation
- Assist in preparation of VAT and other tax returns as required by legislation
- Assist in the statutory audits of the Group
- Assist in tax planning and ensure compliance with tax laws in coordination with tax consultants and auditors
- Assist in the review and provision of Know Your Customer (KYC) documents for external service providers
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as required by the Finance Manager or Group CFO
- Report to the Group’s Finance Manager
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Experience in a similar role in accounting department
- Familiarity with accounting software / ERP systems will be considered an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Organized and proactive with strong attention to detail
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Team-oriented with effective good communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
