What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Risk Officer to join our Risk Management team. Reporting to the Head of Market Risk, you will support the monitoring of market risk exposure across the clinets' trading book, helping to ensure platform integrity, client flow oversight, and timely risk escalation. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional early in their risk career to develop deep expertise in CFD and FX market risk within a high-volume, fast-paced trading environment. The role operates on a rotating shift schedule, providing coverage across trading sessions and ensuring continuous risk oversight throughout the day.
What You’ll Do:
- Monitor trading platforms and risk management tools on an ongoing basis, tracking instrument settings, parameters, and system performance.
- Support continuous monitoring of market risk exposure across asset classes, escalating anomalies or limit breaches to senior team members promptly.
- Track client transaction flows and flag irregular, suspicious, or potentially abusive trading activity, such as latency arbitrage or systematic price exploitation.
- Assist in monitoring hedge coverage, directional inventory, and net exposure throughout assigned shifts; contribute to daily reviews of hedging efficiency.
- Support pricing integrity monitoring by identifying spread drift, anomalies in execution quality, and deviations from expected LP behaviour.
- Contribute to the preparation of regular risk reports and exposure summaries for senior management review.
- Assist in maintaining and improving risk dashboards and internal monitoring workflows, including the use of AI and analytical tools to surface issues and improve reporting efficiency.
- Ensure clear and timely communication with senior risk staff during fast-moving or stressed market conditions.
- Collaborate with internal teams including technology, operations, and senior risk personnel to support smooth day-to-day risk function operations.
Qualifications:
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a market risk, trading operations, dealing, brokerage, or related analytical role within a CFD broker, prime broker, or trading firm.
- Solid understanding of CFD and FX trading mechanics, including basic exposure management and client flow concepts.
- Familiarity with trading platforms such as MetaTrader 4/5 or cTrader.
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail, particularly in fast-moving or data-intensive environments.
- Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required by the business.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and escalate issues clearly and promptly.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to liquidity bridge technologies (e.g., OneZero) or LP relationship monitoring.
- Familiarity with AI tools or data analytics platforms used in risk or trading workflows.
- CySEC Advanced or Basic Certificate, or equivalent regulatory qualification.
- Understanding of A/B book mechanics and trading revenue models.
Working Schedule: On-site Monday to Friday
- Shifts on a weekly rotational basis
- 09:00-17:00 and 17:00-01:00
