Position: Finance & Accounting Associate
Location: Nicosia
Our client, an innovative and fast-growing affiliate marketing and iGaming company, is looking for a detail-oriented professional to join their finance team. This role is based in Nicosia and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, forward-thinking company.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in both incoming and outgoing payments across the company group.
- Assist with financial reporting, collections, and invoicing while maintaining organized documentation.
- Monitor cash flow, reconcile financial records, and maintain precise payment logs.
- Prepare and update monthly VAT/Tax reports while staying informed on regulations in various global markets, including the EU and US.
- Coordinate with banking institutions for KYC updates and facilitate onboarding for new accounts.
- Research potential collaborations with financial institutions, including banks and e-money providers.
- Support external auditors and advisors by providing relevant financial data as needed.
- Investigate financial variances and provide insights to senior leadership.
- Handle additional finance-related tasks as required by the company.
- Report directly to the Group's Financial Controller.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Holds a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field.
- Has 1-3 years of experience, preferably within an online-based company.
- Experience in International Tax or VAT is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks, prioritizing effectively, and meeting deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and well-organized.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
- A self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Adaptable and innovative thinker eager to take on new challenges.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team setting.
What’s on Offer?
- Salary: 1500-2500 gross (more experienced candidates are encouraged to apply, as compensation can be negotiated based on experience and expertise)
- Bonus mid and end of the year subject to performance.
- Monday to Friday, 09:00am to 05:00pm (flexi hour) including a 30-minute break.
- Up to 25 days of annual leave.
