Salary
€22,089 per annum, plus Cost-of-Living Allowance – COLA.
Eligibility
This vacancy is open to UK Family Members who hold a valid Status Stamp permitting employment.

About the Role
The Delta Administrative Officer will support the administration and supervision of the Ministry of Defence driving licence and testing system.
The DELTA organisation acts as the main point of contact within its Area of Responsibility for:
- Ministry of Defence driving licence matters
- Driving theory and practical testing
- Advice and information relating to licence and testing procedures
- Communication with military units and the chain of command
- Support for service personnel and Ministry of Defence civilian employees
The successful candidate will also undertake postal duties for Headquarters British Forces Cyprus.
The position reports to the Command Master Driver.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operation of the DELTA office and the Theory Test Control Centre.
- Maintain and schedule the administration required before and after practical and theory driving tests.
- Maintain the local register of:
- Defence Instructors
- Unit Licence Officers
- Defence Driving Examiners
- Manage controlled documents held within the DELTA office.
- Provide testing data and reports to the DELTA Supervisor when required.
- Act as an invigilator for driving theory tests.
- Liaise with military units and the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency regarding driving licences and testing.
- Inform units and Defence Driving Examiners about the allocation of students.
- Arrange suitable driving-test dates.
- Maintain the Destroyed Licence Register.
- Carry out general administrative and office duties.
- Order stationery and office supplies.
- Replace printer cartridges and assist with the basic operation of printers, photocopiers and fax machines.
- Receive, record, register and distribute mail for Headquarters British Forces Cyprus.
- Act as the main point of contact for postal enquiries.
- Maintain the security of the Post Room.
- Undertake other reasonable duties assigned by the Line Manager.
- Follow British Forces Cyprus Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety policies.
Essential Requirements
Candidates must:
- Be eligible to undergo and successfully obtain Security Check Clearance.
- Have lived in the United Kingdom within the previous five years for a sustained period, as required for Security Check eligibility.
- Undergo and pass the required security and police checks.
- Provide a clean criminal record certificate and a sex offenders certificate issued by the Republic of Cyprus, where required.
- Successfully complete all mandatory training listed in the job description within the first six months of employment.
- Have a good working knowledge of office-based information technology.
- Be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Be familiar with electronic filing practices.
- Be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Provide suitable professional references.
- Be prepared to drive an authorised Ministry of Defence vehicle.
- Be prepared to obtain or maintain the required FMT600 driving authorisation.
- Be willing to attend meetings across the Western and Eastern Sovereign Base Areas and, occasionally, within the Republic of Cyprus.

- CP&F training
- Protecting Information E-Assessment
- DUPSO Course
All mandatory training must be completed successfully within the first six months of employment.
