At UMAMI Sushi & Pan Asian, we are passionate about delivering excellence in everything we do. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team and support the financial operations of our restaurants across Cyprus.

Your Role

Assist with the preparation of monthly Management Accounts and weekly financial reports.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger reconciliations.
Perform supplier, bank, revenue and balance sheet reconciliations.
Manage accounts payable and liaise with suppliers, the Payments Team and Store Managers.
Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with statutory requirements.
Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including additions, disposals and depreciation.
Maintain lease accounting records in accordance with IFRS 16.
Review inventory reports, investigate stock variances and support month-end stock closing.
Reconcile transactions from food delivery platforms and ensure revenue accuracy.
Verify petty cash balances and support cash and banking reconciliations.
Liaise with the Payroll Team to ensure accurate payroll journal postings.
Support internal and external audits.
Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and strengthen internal controls.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience.
ACCA, ACA or CPA qualification (completed or in progress) will be considered an advantage.
Previous experience within the Hospitality, Food & Beverage or Retail industry will be considered an advantage.
Experience with SoftOne ERP and Novasero POS will be considered an advantage.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
High level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
Good communication skills in Greek and English.
