At UMAMI Sushi & Pan Asian, we are passionate about delivering excellence in everything we do. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team and support the financial operations of our restaurants across Cyprus.
Your Role
- Assist with the preparation of monthly Management Accounts and weekly financial reports.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger reconciliations.
- Perform supplier, bank, revenue and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and liaise with suppliers, the Payments Team and Store Managers.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register, including additions, disposals and depreciation.
- Maintain lease accounting records in accordance with IFRS 16.
- Review inventory reports, investigate stock variances and support month-end stock closing.
- Reconcile transactions from food delivery platforms and ensure revenue accuracy.
- Verify petty cash balances and support cash and banking reconciliations.
- Liaise with the Payroll Team to ensure accurate payroll journal postings.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and strengthen internal controls.

What we're looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience.
- ACCA, ACA or CPA qualification (completed or in progress) will be considered an advantage.
- Previous experience within the Hospitality, Food & Beverage or Retail industry will be considered an advantage.
- Experience with SoftOne ERP and Novasero POS will be considered an advantage.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
- Good communication skills in Greek and English.
