About the Registrar of Companies

The Department of Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property is the competent authority of the Republic of Cyprus for maintaining the registers of companies and other legal entities, as well as intellectual property rights. It operates under the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry and acts as the national corporate registry and supervisor for the Beneficial Owners Register.

Main roles & services

• Incorporation, registration and striking-off of companies and other entities
• Filing and publication of statutory documents and changes (officers, charges, etc.)
• Maintenance of the Beneficial Owners Register for Cyprus legal entities
• Online search services for company records and certificates
• Support to intellectual property registration through the IP Section
