About CYSTAT

The Statistical Service of Cyprus (CYSTAT) is the national statistical authority of the Republic of Cyprus and operates under the Ministry of Finance. CYSTAT is responsible for the production and dissemination of most official statistics in Cyprus, providing reliable, up-to-date data on the economy, population, society and the environment for the government, private sector, EU and international organisations.

Main roles & services

• Designs and conducts censuses, surveys and statistical enquiries
• Produces and publishes official statistics and indicators for Cyprus
• Maintains CYSTAT-DB, the online statistical database for Cyprus
• Coordinates statistical work carried out by other public bodies
• Provides open data, publications and reference tables through its portal
