The licensed recruitment agency the JOB HOUSE (License No. 505), on behalf of its client, is looking for a Projects Accountant in Nicosia.
Responsibilities include bookkeeping, analysis of financial reports, and assisting in the
preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts. Additionally, there are responsible
for managing the portfolio of projects that are supported by restricted funds.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities are divided between the Development Team and other financial tasks,
respectively occupying 50% and 50% of the Project Accountants time.
Finance Team
Assist in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and yearly accounts
Assist in analysing the actual vs budget monthly financial reports
Provide input to and assist the annual budget processes
Provide input and assist in monitoring the expenses in all locations
Assist in preparing consolidated detailed expenses departmental reports
Ensure compliance of organisation´s Business Policies & Practices
Undertake other responsibilities at the request of the Projects Accountants Manager
as well as assist where possible on the day-to-day finance related activities.
Development Team
Assist the Development officers by providing monthly income and expenses reports
Assist in drafting projects budget
Monitor and ensure the sound financial management of projects
Provide project financial reports with explanations on project variances
Ensure compliance with donor requirements on financial issues for the grants
Supports the Development Team staff on all financial reporting requirements to
different donors
