Job Responsibilities
- Assist in basic food preparation and cooking tasks as directed.
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines accurately.
- Help with receiving, labelling, and storing kitchen supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas in compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Support kitchen setup, breakdown, and smooth service flow.
- Follow health and safety regulations, including HACCP guidelines and internal protocols.
- Work efficiently under pressure, especially during peak hours or large events.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or hazards immediately to the Chef.
- Collaborate with service team members to ensure seamless service flow.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior kitchen staff.
Requirements
- 1 years of experience in a professional kitchen preferable - this position is ideal for a junior looking to develop in the kitchen.
- Excellent communication in English is essential. Fluency in Greek is a strong advantage.
- Basic understanding of food preparation and kitchen safety.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a high-energy, team-focused environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Professional appearance and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Familiarity of portioning and kitchen best practices.
- Familiarity of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Applicants must hold EU nationality without the need for a visa sponsor.
