Wavemaker Hospitality is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen operations of our hotel in Ayia Napa. The successful candidate will be responsible for menu planning, kitchen team leadership, food quality, and ensuring high standards of hygiene and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth service
- Design, develop, and update menus in line with the hotel’s concept and guest expectations
- Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, hygiene, and health & safety standards
- Manage food costs, inventory, and supplier relationships
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Collaborate with hotel management on budgeting and F&B planning
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a hotel or high-volume restaurant
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of Mediterranean and international cuisine
- Good understanding of food cost control and kitchen administration
- Ability to work under pressure, especially during peak season
- Knowledge of HACCP procedures (certificate preferred)
- EU passport or valid work permit for Cyprus
