Thanos Hotels & Resorts is seeking to recruit a Chef De Cuisine for the Amyth of Nicosia Hotel.
Job Role
The ideal candidate will have an innovative and creative approach towards food and menu development, focusing on Mediterranean cuisine, offering a unique dining experience for our guests, establishing our signature restaurant to the high standards of quality that already associated with Thanos Hotels group.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Develop and design menus that reflect the Mediterranean culinary tradition, incorporating seasonal and local ingredients.
- Train, supervise, and inspire kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and professional working environment.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stock control, and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen in accordance with HACCP.
- Monitor and control kitchen expenses to meet budgetary goals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef/ Head Chef or in a similar leadership role.
- Expertise in Mediterranean cuisine, with a deep understanding of traditional and contemporary cooking techniques.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
