Alpha.jobs, on behalf of its client and in cooperation with a licensed employment agency with license number 547, is looking for Senior Accountant.
Salary:
- €45,000–55,000 yearly, depending on experience and qualifications.

Main duties:
- Maintain accurate accounting records for local and international client companies.
- Prepare and review bookkeeping entries, reconciliations and accounting reports.
- Prepare VAT, VIES and OSS returns where applicable.
- Handle payroll, Social Insurance and related employer-compliance matters.
- Prepare management accounts and financial reports and support IFRS financial statements.
- Liaise with auditors and assist throughout the audit process.
- Communicate with clients, banks, auditors, tax authorities and external advisers.
- Review records for correct tax, VAT and accounting treatment and monitor filing deadlines.
- Support junior accountants and review their work when required.
- Improve internal accounting processes, templates and workflows.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- ACA or ACCA qualification, or finalist status, is a strong advantage.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in accounting, audit, fiduciary or professional services.
- Strong knowledge of Cyprus accounting, tax, VAT and VIES requirements.
- Good understanding of IFRS and audit-ready accounting records.
- Payroll and Social Insurance experience is advantageous.
- Excellent written and spoken Greek and English.
- Strong organisational, analytical, problem-solving and client-communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
