Your Role
As Chief Accountant, you will oversee all financial operations across Secret Forest and, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in every transaction. You will manage the accounting team, prepare and analyze financial reports, oversee budgeting and forecasting, and ensure all tax and legal obligations are met.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise the accounting team at Secret Forest Resort.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with standards and deadlines.
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Ensure full compliance with tax, VAT, and local financial regulations.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities as needed.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and process improvements to optimize accuracy and efficiency.
- Support management with financial analysis and advice for business planning and growth.
- Ensuring timely and accurate reporting to group CFO.
What We Value
- Proven experience as a Chief Accountant or Senior Accounting Manager, ideally within the hospitality sector.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Professional qualifications such as ACCA/ACA are a plus).
- Strong knowledge of Cyprus tax laws, VAT, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (knowledge of ERP systems preferred).
- Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead teams, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
