Position: Corporate Lawyer

On behalf of our client, a reputable law firm, we are looking to hire a Corporate Lawyer to join their team in Limassol. This is an opportunity for a legal professional with a proven track record in dispute resolution to step into a challenging role with a lot of prospects.
Professional and Academic Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of previous experience in the corporate or commercial sector (Post qualification)
- Bachelor’s of Law – minimum grade of 2.1 (upper second) or equivalent
- Mester’s of Law or Bar Professional Training Course or Legal Practice Course will be considered as an advantage
- Cyprus Bar Association License
- Excellent command of Greek and English language – both written and oral. Any additional language will be considered as an advantage
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review a variety of corporate and commercial documents, including resolutions, minutes, powers of attorney, Memoranda and Articles of Association, Shareholders’ Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements, joint venture and partnership agreements, and other contracts.
- Manage corporate filings and procedures with the Department of the Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property (Cyprus), including liaising, submitting documents, and attending meetings as needed.
- Monitor and interpret existing and new legislation to provide clear, practical, and comprehensive legal advice.
- Draft legal opinions on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and other legal issues.
- Conduct legal research on case law and statutes across Cyprus, UK, and EU jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with AML, KYC, and GDPR requirements in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Serve as a main point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Attend client meetings locally and internationally to address legal matters and support business objectives.
- Represent the firm at professional, promotional, and networking events, both in Cyprus and abroad.
- Assist clients with governmental and regulatory processes, liaising with authorities such as Cyprus Immigration, Department of Lands and Surveys, Tax Department, Labor Office, CySEC, Cyprus Stock Exchange, and local or international banks.
- Collaborate closely with the firm’s legal team on corporate and commercial matters.
- Handle additional responsibilities related to the firm’s corporate and commercial legal practice.
- Contribute articles, newsletters, and other professional content for the firm’s publications and online platforms.
- Support the firm’s strategic initiatives, including marketing, business development, and planning activities.
