What You’ll Do:
As Legal Officer you will support the management of corporate legal and governance matters across the organization and its serviced entities, ensuring compliance with company law requirements and internal policies. The role involves assisting with legal documentation, company secretarial duties, and corporate maintenance, while contributing to the effective implementation of governance and compliance processes.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Legal & Corporate Affairs (Primary Responsibilities)
- Assist in the drafting, review, and amendment of contracts, agreements, and
legal documents related to corporate operations and business activities.
- Provide support in legal research and assist in advising on corporate governance
and company law matters affecting serviced entities.
- Support company secretarial functions, including maintaining statutory registers
and preparing and filing documentation with relevant authorities.
- Assist with the incorporation, structuring, and ongoing maintenance of legal
entities, including reviewing constitutional documents.
- Support the monitoring of compliance with shareholder agreements, board
resolutions, and corporate governance requirements.
- Assist in legal due diligence processes and provide support in transactional
matters, including restructurings and corporate changes.
- Liaise with external advisors and service providers on routine legal and corporate
matters.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and report relevant updates to senior
team members.
2. Compliance & Regulatory Affairs (Secondary Responsibilities)
- Support the monitoring of compliance with applicable requirements, internal
policies, and contractual obligations.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of internal compliance and AML
procedures and controls.
- Support compliance reviews, risk assessments, and internal checks to identify
potential issues.
- Assist in ensuring adherence to AML, KYC, CDD, and EDD requirements where
applicable.
- Respond to routine compliance-related queries from internal stakeholders and
escalate where necessary.
- Support the delivery of compliance guidance and awareness to internal teams.
- Assist in identifying and escalating potential risks, breaches, or compliance
concerns.
- Provide support to the compliance team in coordinating tasks and maintaining
operational efficiency.
- Follow guidance and instructions from senior team members and the Regulatory
Affairs function.
3. General Duties
- Perform any other duties related or incidental to the role, as reasonably required
by the Employer.
- Ensure adherence to all company policies, applicable laws, and industry best
practices.
Qualifications:
- University Degree in Law.
- Background in corporate/regulatory law and/or litigation.
- Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in a similar legal role.
- Possession of relevant CySEC certifications will be considered an advantage.
- Strong ability to interpret and apply legal regulations, laws, and statutes.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, adaptability, and flexibility.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Working Schedule: On-Site - Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00
