Role Overview:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and maintaining strong business relationships, identifying new opportunities, and maximizing sales across our hotel properties. This role is key in supporting the Director of Sales & Marketing by executing sales strategies, managing accounts, and ensuring that our hotels achieve their occupancy, ADR, and revenue targets.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in hospitality sales, excellent negotiation skills, and a strong network in the tourism and corporate travel industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across leisure, corporate, group, and MICE segments.
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts, corporate clients, travel agencies, OTAs, and tour operators.
- Actively prospect for new clients through networking, cold calls, trade shows, and sales visits.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and packages to optimize profitability and competitiveness.
- Participate in site inspections and client meetings, showcasing Group of Hotels and Resorts facilities and services.
Revenue & Market Strategy
- Support the implementation of sales strategies in alignment with revenue and marketing plans.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and client needs to identify new opportunities.
- Work closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing and maximize occupancy and ADR (Average Daily Rate).
- Contribute to the preparation of sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
Client Relations & Events
- Represent the hotels at industry events, trade fairs, and client meetings including travelling abroad.
- Conduct familiarization trips (FAM trips) and client presentations.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering tailored solutions and maintaining strong follow-up.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with the Marketing team to align promotional activities with sales efforts.
- Report regularly on sales activities, pipeline updates, and performance against targets.
- Collaborate with hotel operations to ensure guest requirements are clearly communicated and delivered.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Sales, or related field.
- Master’s degree or MBA will be considered an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience in luxury hotels, resorts, or hospitality groups.
- Strong knowledge of hotel sales distribution channels, OTAs, and corporate sales.
- Proven ability to generate new business and achieve revenue targets.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Experience in the UK, Germany, CIS, GCC luxury travel markets is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal in English. Greek and any other languages will be considered an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and hotel sales/CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, results-driven mindset with passion for hospitality.
- Flexible to travel internationally when required.
- Strong ability to work as part of a team across the organisation.
