Work Channel Professional Recruitment is working closely with a client in Paphos and is seeking to recruit a Director of Marketing Operations & Marketing Technology.

The Director of Marketing Operations & Marketing Technology reports directly to the Board of Directors and works closely with the Director of Business Development, the Director of Corporate Affairs & Communication, and the General Managers of the hotels.
This role is responsible for building, managing, and optimising the marketing operations infrastructure across our client's luxury hotel portfolio.
It ensures that the overall marketing strategy defined by leadership is effectively translated into structured, measurable, and scalable execution across all properties. The position holds full accountability for marketing operations, marketing technology, vendor management, and team development, supporting both portfolio growth and operational excellence.
This role may follow a hybrid working arrangement, combining on-site presence with remote work depending on business needs.

Responsibilities
Brand Ownership & Evolution
Act as the guardian of our client's brand portfolio, ensuring consistency and premium positioning across all properties.
Lead the ongoing development of the brand narrative in line with ownership vision and overall growth strategy.
Translate brand strategy into clear, actionable execution across all channels and guest touchpoints.
Maintain cohesive storytelling across the portfolio while preserving each property’s distinct identity.
Safeguard brand guidelines, visual identity, and tone of voice across all internal and external communications.
Marketing Operations
Design and implement a unified marketing operating model across a portfolio of six or more luxury properties.
Convert strategic priorities into structured campaign plans with defined timelines, deliverables, and accountability.
Establish campaign governance frameworks, approval processes, and quality assurance standards.
Develop and maintain marketing performance dashboards and KPI reporting systems.
Deliver structured performance insights and reporting to the Board of Directors.
Standardise processes, templates, and documentation across all properties.
Marketing Technology & Data
Own and oversee the marketing technology ecosystem, including CRM, marketing automation, analytics, AI tools, DAM, and project management platforms.
Ensure seamless integration between marketing systems and hospitality platforms such as Opera Cloud, PMS, and booking engines.
Drive the adoption of AI across content creation, workflow automation, and data analytics.
Maintain data accuracy, reporting integrity, and a strong data-driven decision-making culture.
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies aligned with the Group’s growth strategy.
Vendor & Budget Management
Manage and optimise annual marketing vendor expenditure across paid media agencies, PR, content production, and digital services.
Define and enforce vendor performance frameworks with clear KPI measurements.
Lead agency briefings, quarterly performance reviews, and contract negotiations.
Coordinate multi-agency activity to ensure brand consistency and maximise ROI.
Oversee RFP processes and vendor selection where required.
(Paid media execution remains externally managed; this role focuses on oversight, performance, and accountability.)
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and develop the central marketing team, fostering capability and performance.
Implement structured development plans with clear progression pathways for direct reports.
Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and AI-driven capability.
Coordinate effectively with shared technical specialists such as Web, SEO, and Digital resources.
Stakeholder Engagement
Represent marketing operations at Board level, delivering clear, data-driven reporting and insights.
Align closely with General Managers to ensure effective property-level execution.
Translate commercial objectives into measurable and actionable marketing plans.
Ensure transparent and consistent communication between ownership, leadership, and operational teams.
Requirements
- 10–12 years’ experience in Marketing Operations, Marketing Technology or similar leadership role.
- Experience in luxury hospitality or multi-property environments strongly preferred.
- Proven track record managing complex agency ecosystems and substantial budgets.
- Strong expertise in CRM, automation platforms, analytics and AI tools.
- Experience integrating marketing systems with hospitality platforms (Opera Cloud or similar) is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to build structure, improve processes and scale operations.
- Strong leadership capability with a genuine focus on talent development.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into business decisions.
- Executive-level communication and stakeholder management skills.
