📢 Accounting Officer | Nicosia, Cyprus | Accounting & Consulting Firm
On behalf of our client, a well-established professional services company, we are looking for an Accounting Officer to join their Accounting team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting needs of multiple clients across a variety of industries, including financing, investment, and trading companies, while working in accordance with IFRS and the Companies Law.
Responsibilities
- Managing the accounting of multiple clients across different industries, including financing, investment, and trading companies
- Maintaining accurate accounting records in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the Companies Law
- Preparing accounting engagements for audit and submitting them for managers’ review
- Communicating with clients and fiduciary service providers throughout the accounting and audit process
- Preparing and submitting VAT Returns
- Liaising with the Inland Revenue Department when required
- Preparing payroll records for clients
- Liaising with Social Insurance authorities when required
- Ensuring all accounting and reporting activities are completed accurately and within required deadlines
Requirements
- Previous working experience in a similar accounting position
- Previous bookkeeping experience is preferred
- LCCI Higher qualification
- ACCA or ACA studies will be considered a plus, but are not mandatory
- Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of CaseWare and E-soft accounting systems will be considered an advantage
- A BSc in Business, Economics, or a related field will be considered an advantage
- Fluent in both Greek and English, written and spoken
- Pleasant and professional personality with strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, organisation, and ability to manage multiple client accounts
Working Hours
- Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 13:00 and 14:00 – 17:00
- Friday: 08:00 – 14:00
- 1-hour flexibility in the morning, with working hours to be completed by the end of the day
