Alpha.jobs, on behalf of its client and in cooperation with a licensed employment agency with license number 547, is looking for Accounting Manager.

- €3,000–€3,100 monthly; the description also indicates gross annual remuneration of around €40,000

- Based at the group’s headquarters in Nicosia.
Main duties:
- Report to the Financial Controller and finalise accurate, complete trial balances for group companies.
- Oversee period-end close, balance-sheet reconciliations, journal entries and resolution of discrepancies.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax rules.
- Ensure timely tax returns, VAT filings and other statutory submissions.
- Manage general-ledger, payables, receivables, payroll accounting and fixed assets.
- Coordinate financial processes with other departments and business objectives.
- Develop accounting policies, procedures and internal controls and lead the accounting team.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline and/or a full or partial ACA, ACCA or CPA qualification.
- At least six years of experience and proven experience in a comparable position.
- Strong accounting-process, closing, reconciliation and financial-information preparation skills.
- Strong team orientation, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent written and spoken Greek and English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, and experience with computerised accounting software.
- Management skills to develop teams, maintain accountability and organise accounting operations.
