Accounting Assistant

GAP Vassilopoulos Group one of the 25 biggest employers in Cyprus, is currently seeking to recruit an Accounting Assistant to be based in the Head Offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Track and record all incoming and outgoing financial transactions, such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments
Keep the general ledger up-to-date by recording transactions in various accounts (e.g., accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, and expenses)
Monitor and process payments to vendors and suppliers
Ensure invoices are sent out on time and payments are received
Reconcile bank statements with the company's records to ensure accuracy
Maintain a record of petty cash used for small expenses

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or LCCI Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Fluent in Greek and English
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Cycom) will be considered an advantage
Computer Literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
