Work arrangement:
- On-site road-construction work in Paphos
Main duties:
- Supervise roadworks covering earthworks, excavation, embankments, pavement layers, asphalt, drainage and finishing.
- Read engineering drawings, specifications and method statements.
- Ensure work follows approved designs, standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, surveyors, laboratory technicians and site personnel.
- Track progress and report delays or technical issues.
- Inspect workmanship and coordinate testing with consultants, clients and authorities.
- Verify levels, alignments, gradients, quantities and road geometry.
- Enforce health, safety and environmental requirements and maintain site records.
- Plan equipment, workforce, materials and resources to meet time, cost, quality and safety targets.
Requirements:
- Civil-engineering background with road-construction experience.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction documentation.
- Practical knowledge of quality, health, safety and environmental controls.
- Strong coordination, record-keeping and progress-monitoring capability.
