Main duties:
- Design and teach engaging Greek-language lessons for primary pupils aged six and above.
- Align teaching with the Greek primary curriculum and use inquiry-based, differentiated and student-centred methods.
- Develop language proficiency and understanding of Greek history, literature and culture.
- Create assessments for language, literary understanding and cultural context and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintain an inclusive classroom that supports varied learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
- Develop interdisciplinary units with colleagues and participate in conferences, meetings and professional development.
- Contribute to clubs, language-immersion activities and cultural events.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Greek Language and Literature or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Recognised teaching certification and/or relevant teaching experience.
- High proficiency in Greek and strong knowledge of Greek literature, history and culture.
- Familiarity with inquiry-based learning, differentiation and student-centred teaching.
- Strong communication, collaboration, cultural sensitivity and commitment to professional development.
- IB, Montessori, Waldorf or private-school experience is an advantage.
- Russian, Ukrainian or Hebrew is an advantage.
- Appointment is subject to criminal-record, reference and other child-safeguarding checks.
Schedule:
- Nineteen classes per week, with working hours of either 08:00–16:00 or 09:00–17:00 according to the timetable.
