Alpha.jobs, on behalf of its client and in cooperation with a licensed employment agency with license number 547, is looking for Special Scientist (Research).
Salary:
- €2,200–€3,800 gross per month, depending on experience, qualifications and duties.
- Statutory contributions are deducted, and the 13th salary is incorporated into the stated amount.
Employment type:
- Full-time, 12-month contract with possible renewal
Work arrangement:
- On-site in Nicosia
Main duties:
- Conduct research on advanced characterisation of photovoltaic technologies.
- Design and optimise indoor and outdoor experiments on PV performance and ageing.
- Analyse laboratory and field datasets using statistical methods.
- Develop standardised measurement protocols for emerging PV technologies.
- Prepare publications, technical reports and conference presentations.
- Coordinate research activities, milestones and deliverables and support junior researchers.
Requirements:
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven research experience in photovoltaics or solar-energy systems.
- English proficiency at C1 level.
- Experience with PV characterisation, ageing tests, Python or semiconductor simulation tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
Schedule:
- 140 working hours per month.
