Compliance Lawyer – AML/KYC & Corporate
Location: Limassol, Cyprus
Salary: €2,500–€3,000 gross per month + 13th salary (can go higher if more experienced)

The Opportunity
We are representing one of the most reputable and established law firms in Cyprus in the appointment of a Compliance Lawyer to join its Limassol office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified lawyer who has developed experience within AML, KYC and regulatory compliance, while also having an understanding of corporate and company law matters.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a combination of compliance, AML/KYC and corporate legal work, including:
- Performing Know Your Customer (KYC) and Client Due Diligence (CDD) procedures
- Ensuring compliance with applicable AML, CFT and sanctions regulations
- Conducting client screening, including PEP and sanctions checks, and assessing potential matches
- Preparing and maintaining internal client review and risk-assessment reports
- Monitoring activities to ensure adherence to AML directives, applicable legislation and internal policies
- Reporting relevant compliance matters to the firm's Compliance Officer
- Reviewing and advising on the regulatory implications of internal policies and procedures
- Assisting with the administration of the firm's Internal Control Management System
- Liaising across departments to ensure continued regulatory compliance
- Developing and assisting with internal compliance training materials
- Supporting the Corporate Department with administrative and regulatory filings
- Reviewing corporate documents and filings
- Drafting agreements, resolutions and other corporate documentation
- Assisting with general company law matters where required
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Law
- Membership of the Cyprus Bar Association
- MLCO Certification from the Cyprus Bar Association
- Approximately 2–3+ years' relevant experience within AML, KYC and/or Compliance
- Good knowledge and practical understanding of EU and Cyprus AML/CFT and sanctions legislation
- At least a basic practical understanding of Cyprus company and corporate law matters
- Experience reviewing and drafting corporate/legal documentation
- Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and spoken
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

Working Hours
Monday–Thursday: 08:00–17:45
Employees have up to one hour of flexibility regarding their starting time. For example, an employee starting at 09:00 would finish at 18:45.
Friday: 08:00–13:00, with similar flexibility.
The successful candidate should be based in Limassol, as the firm is specifically looking for someone who can sustainably work from the Limassol office.
The position will ultimately operate on a hybrid basis with up to two days per week working from home. During the first month, greater office presence may be required to ensure a smooth induction and full understanding of the department, systems and internal procedures.
