Main duties:
- Configure, deploy and maintain firewalls, intrusion-prevention systems, load balancers and VPN concentrators across office and cloud environments.
- Work with technologies including Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Check Point, F5 and Citrix ADC where applicable.
- Maintain security policies, audit logs and incident records and troubleshoot availability and performance issues.
- Design high-availability, load-balancing and IPsec or SSL VPN configurations.
- Support AWS and Azure firewall, web-application firewall and VPN services.
- Automate repeatable tasks with Python, Bash or PowerShell and maintain change records and operating procedures.
- Support security assessments, vulnerability scans and ISO, PCI or GDPR control requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline and at least 2 years of hands-on network-security experience.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching and VLANs.
- Practical experience with enterprise firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection or prevention and application-delivery controllers.
- Understanding of high availability, monitoring, incident analysis and cloud networking.
- Relevant vendor certifications are advantageous.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust, web-application firewalls, DDoS protection, hybrid or multi-cloud infrastructure, Ansible or Terraform is beneficial.
