Main duties:
- Develop secure payment components with Java 18–25 and Spring using clear SOLID design principles.
- Build services with PostgreSQL or MySQL, JPA, Redis, Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Implement JWT and OAuth authentication, cryptographic signatures, hashing and encryption in line with OWASP guidance.
- Create unit and integration tests and maintain Maven or Gradle, artifact-repository, CI/CD, Docker and cloud workflows.
- Assess technical feasibility and investigate production incidents, performance issues and root causes.
- Refactor and modernise existing components and improve resilience, automation and observability.
- Review code, mentor colleagues and use AI-assisted engineering tools within agreed controls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Between 4 and 8 years of professional Java development with strong Spring experience.
- Sound knowledge of relational databases, caching, asynchronous messaging and distributed services.
- Experience with secure API design, automated testing, CI/CD, Docker and cloud platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting, code-review and collaboration skills.
- Payments or fintech experience is preferred.
